The production of polystyrene filaments has been an integral part of our product portfolio for more than 50 years. Thanks to our extensive experience and the continuous advancement of our extrusion technology, we are able to offer tailor-made solutions for highly specialized technical requirements.
The biaxially oriented polystyrene materials used by NORFLEX offer excellent mechanical properties, even at very low thicknesses.

For many decades, NORFLEX has been producing high-quality polystyrene filaments and insulation films for a wide range of technical applications. Our products have proven their reliability, precision, and consistent quality, particularly in the cable industry.
Our polystyrene filaments are used, among other applications, as spacers in carrier-frequency and high-frequency copper cables. They ensure precisely defined distances within the cable structure, contributing to reliable signal transmission and the long-term performance of the cable.
In addition, we manufacture matching polystyrene-based insulation films that provide extra protection against external influences. These films improve operational reliability, protect against environmental factors such as UV radiation and chemical exposure, and can significantly extend the service life of cables.
